Blogging is easy. Anyone can set up a blog. It takes only a couple of minutes to put together.
On the other hand, blogging for profit can be a little more difficult. Starting an online buisness by blogging is free, but takes consistent work to generate the amount of income you need to quit your day job.
Blogging requires you to make contact with your readers on a daily basis. You want to establish strong and lasting relationships, which will take more than just adding posts daily although that's a good start.
Online readers of today want to see video; they want good solid content; they want to learn about you or how to better themselves through personal growth. As with any good business, when blogging you'll want to find a need and fill it. Find out what your readers desire and find a way to solve it.
Ask for comments. Commenting regularly with your readers helps them to feel as if they are establishing a new relationship.
Post comments and link to other bloggers in your niche. Invite them to post comments and add links to yours. Connecting to other blogs will get more traffic to your site.
If you haven't started your own blog, now's the time. Find a issue or problem that fills a need, do your research, and write about it daily.
